Michael Attard Ltd teams up with Stephanie Borg® to bring a piece of local heritage to the road.

Michael Attard Ltd has collaborated with Maltese artist and designer Stephanie Borg® on a custom wrap for the Peugeot 2008, bringing together local heritage and French flair through a distinctly Stephanie Borg® design.
Approached by Michael Attard Ltd to create a Malta-inspired design for the vehicle, Stephanie was given a blank canvas. Drawing on her years of collecting photographs of traditional Maltese tiles, she recalled a particular tile pattern featuring a lion's head. The connection immediately made sense: the lion is also Peugeot's emblem.
The tile's lion motif became the centre of the design. Stephanie subtly reworked the lion's head to bring it closer to Peugeot's emblem, while preserving the rest of the original tile pattern. She then enhanced the composition with additional tile motifs, creating a more complete design in striking red and black for a distinctive look on the road.
The project gives a traditional design a new setting. A pattern originally intended for a floor will now be seen on Malta's roads, with its details adapted to the shape and proportions of the Peugeot 2008.
For Michael Attard Ltd, the project is an opportunity to celebrate local creative talent through its association with Peugeot. Working with Stephanie Borg® brings a distinctly Maltese perspective to the vehicle, creating a connection between art, heritage and automotive design.
The result is a Peugeot 2008 with Malta's story woven into its exterior: an old Maltese tile, a contemporary interpretation and a shared lion motif that brings the collaboration together.
